"My name is Angelina Mazzocchi and I am in the Animation program here at Durham College. I think of myself as a very artistic student. I've always loved art and I've always loved things like painting and movies and cartoons and that's a huge part of the program here."
"My favourite thing about the program would probably be the teachers, because they have worked in the industry themselves and they really know what they are talking about. When you have a problem or a question and you go to them with it, they know exactly how to answer it for you. Being people from the industry as well, our teachers are very experienced and they know what has gone on in the industry. They have been there, they have done it and are able to bring their experience into the class room. This is really great because they make the rooms feel like a studio environment and we work together. Everything is professional, it's on a very comfortable level and we are able to actually feel like we are getting industry experience right here in the class room."
"I think that for anyone who is interested in the computer animation program, it's a wonderful program. You are learning so many different things and it helps you to really determine which type of path you want to go down because the program itself is so diverse - right? We cover everything from drawing to film making to modelling our own characters and using them in animations. It's really great because by the end of third year, you've picked a path. The teachers, the programs and the work that you do, really helps you to define exactly which area you want to specialize in and it's a really great experience."
