"My name is Kevin Marshall and I am a student in the Biomedical Engineering Technology program."
"Biomedical Engineering Technology what it is not, (and I have to clarify this because every time somebody asks me what program I'm in), is dealing with genetics. I'm in a lab coat majority of the time, but really I'm dealing with health care equipment. It can range from servicing, repairing, to maintenance or even helping design diagnostic imaging equipment like MRIs and CAT scans."
"I learn more when I do things hands on and that's something that I enjoy about this program. It gives me the opportunity not just to learn from a book, but to actually take apart the equipment, look what's inside it, and put it back together. I also conduct research from manuals, network, and learn how things are done in a health care system."
"Do your professors at Durham College care about your success? Yes they do. If you are wanting a challenge, you are definitely going to get it from these professors, they will make sure you know what you are supposed to know. If you do have questions, they are not afraid of you confronting them with those questions. The professors in Biomedical Engineering Technology are awesome! I really can't put any other words to it than that. I love this program so much and I am hoping to go into diagnostic imaging as a career."
