Court Support Services

"My name is Alison Levy and I am a student at Durham College enrolled in the Court Support Services program."

"The Court Support Services program provides you with a legal understanding, and a basic understanding of the court systems. They then specifically train you for about three or four different roles that you can work at once you graduate. One of the roles is a court monitor or a court reporter - who basically records all the proceedings in the court room and then puts it into a transcript. They work on the side doing that."

"The thing I like best about my professors is that they are all experts in their field, they are all bringing 20 to 25 years of experience, doing exactly what they are training us to do. They are always communicating with us about employment opportunities. They bring in people who are in positions to hire us and talk with us. They have really set us up to succeed when we graduate from this program. Personally, I have already gone on several interviews and I know that by the time I graduate, I will be successful in this program."
