The Durham College Diversity office, in partnership with Your Student Association, the Campus Library and the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, invites the campus and local community to the following presentations in recognition of diversity month:
Nouman Ashraf, diversity consultant and University of Toronto diversity officer, will discuss Religious Accommodation: What it is and what is isn't, on Monday, March 24 at noon in Room G213 of the Gordon Willey building. Refreshments will be served and attendees need to RSVP to jon.sarpong@dc-uoit.ca.
Tonya Lee Williams, Young and the Restless TV star, film producer and founder of the Reel World Film Festival, will talk about her experiences in Hollywood and their connection to the growing cultural mosaic. The Value of Diversity is being held on Tuesday, March 25, beginning at noon in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre's triple gymnasium.
Howard Shulman, co-ordinator of the anti-violence program at The 519 Church Street Community Centre, will discuss lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender issues and advocacy on Friday, March 28 at noon in the Women's Resource Centre, UL100. Please RSVP to jon.sarpong@dc-uoit.ca.
