Students at Durham College experience a student life that balances academics with activities outside the classroom.

Durham College students get the most out their college experience both inside the classroom and out, thanks to many different opportunities on campus.

Because there's more to college life than just the challenges in the classroom, Durham College offers a full range of activities, entertainment and clubs for student enjoyment.

Extensive orientation programming helps kick off the college experience for first-year students. More information is available at www.durhamcollege.ca/firstyear.

Once settled in, students can explore dozens of diverse campus clubs. From groups that relate to programs such as the Advertising club, to popular interest groups like the Cheerleading team, to socially focused advocate groups like Students for Humanitarianism and Action through Respect and Education (SHARE) and Students Against Social Injustice, there's a group for every interest.

"We have over 80 active clubs that are involved in enriching the lives of students," said Amy England, president of Your Student Association. "We know that it's not just about academics but about a well-balanced experience which includes social activities."

Durham College is also home to E.P. Taylor's, one of the top student pubs in Ontario. This campus favourite offers students award-winning programming that includes concerts, battles of the bands, comedy and variety shows, karaoke and much more.

Whatever their interest, students are bound to make the right connection.
