The Special Collections Room is located on the third floor of the Library. It currently includes: selected legal resources, the Nuclear Reports Collection, race relations material, and a number of journals in historical and literary studies. They are searchable in the library catalogue with the
exception of the Nuclear Reports Collection which is searchable in Digilog.
Digilog is an online digital archive maintained by the library. Content is organized around collections. Some of these, like the
Nuclear Reports Collection only augment the physical collections. Each item record in this collection contains details about the document (title, author, publisher, etc.) as well as a PDF of the title and abstract. Other collections like
The Chronicle contain full text, and are searchable. Items can be browsed also, by a variety of criteria. Digilog allows simultaneous searching of the record details and full-text searching of the attached documents.
PLEASE NOTE: for the Nuclear Collection, the hard copy in the Special Collections Room is the only complete version.
The collection is comprised of approximately 1600 Canadian and international technical papers, annual reports and conference proceedings. This collection augments the Library's existing nuclear collection searchable in the library catalogue and found in the regular book stacks.
