Media Services is a Durham College and University of Ontario Institute of Technology shared services department that provides a full range of audiovisual services and support to students, faculty and staff.
A collection of curriculum-based instructional aids and equipment are provided to support, supplement and enhance Durham College and University of Ontario Institute of Technology instructional programs.
Video and DVD titles are listed in the Library's catalogue, but the actual items are stored in MEDIA SERVICES, located in the Gordon Wiley building in room B200. If you would like to watch a video or DVD, bring the title and call number of the item you wish to see to Media Services to arrange a viewing time.
Durham College and UOIT have purchased the required licences to allow you to show most (but not all…) home use only feature length films in the classroom.
This means that in addition to videos and dvds available in Media Services, you can borrow/rent home use only videos or dvds from the public library or a video store, or bring in personal copies of movies, and use them in your classroom.
