Food is not allowed in the Library. Lidded beverages may be consumed.
Food attracts insects and vermin which damage the Library's information collection. Liquids, including water can be damaging to paper resources and technical equipment. Spills also damage furniture, equipment and carpet.
A cafe which provides light refreshments is located immediately adjacent to the Library entrance, for the convenience of library users. No food may be brought into the Library for consumption. Food brought into the Library may not be consumed and must be tightly closed and stored in briefcases, knapsacks and the like. Please remember to use the appropriate garbage and recycling containers located throughout the Library.
Users who are unwilling to comply with this policy are subject to sanctions as set out in the Library Code of Conduct.
