Board Meetings

In 2002, the Government of Ontario enacted legislation (UOIT Act 2002) to establish the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) which would share a campus as well as administrative services with Durham College.The college and the university are governed by separate Boards of Governors; however, the UOIT Act mandates that a minimum of six members of the Durham College Board of Governors shall be cross-appointed to the UOIT Board of Governors.

Based on this integrated services model, the Durham College Board of Governors meets jointly with the UOIT Board of Governors a minimum of two times in each academic year on matters of a collaborative and/or integrated nature.

The following is a list of scheduled meeting dates with agendas and minutes for 2008-09. Regular meetings of the Board are held on the second Wednesday* of the month throughout the academic year, with the exception of October, December, January and May, at 6:00 p.m. For details regarding location, please refer to the specific meeting agenda.

Members of the community may attend Board meetings; however, as seating is limited, please make arrangements in advance with the Secretary to the Board of Governors at 905.721.3174.
