On behalf of the PQAPA Task Group, I want to extend a big thank you to everyone who participated in our mini audit. The PQAPA Task Group and volunteers visited almost every area at the Oshawa and Whitby campuses and had great conversations about PQAPA and quality at Durham College. Students, faculty, administration and support staff demonstrated a good knowledge of the PQAPA information and their connection to quality, service and student success is widely understood.
The task group was very impressed with the willingness and openness of their discussions and the number of people who prepared for the event. This mini audit has helped the PQAPA Task Group to better understand where there is still work to do, and also confirms that we are in great shape for the audit process.
If you have a question about PQAPA, please visit our website at www.durhamcollege.ca/pqapa.

The next step in the preparation for the audit is writing the required self study report. This report allows us to present our best practices, discuss where we have work to do, and present strategies that will help us meet quality assurance expectations. As part of the self study, the PQAPA Task Group, Deans, Associate Deans and Directors are now collecting best practices. I ask that you support those asking for your assistance by providing your best practices and copies of evidence for the auditors. If you are unsure about the criteria for a best practice, please contact Susan Barclay-Pereira.
Thank you.
