The math centre provides opportunities for children to interact with materials that support the development of logical thinking strategies. Children are encouraged to separate, classify, and count while they engage in such activities as:
- Matching;
- Ordering;
- Grouping;
- Counting;
- Measuring;
- Classifying;
- Balancing; and
- Identifying similarities and differences.
