Music provides opportunities for children to develop the ability to listen and communicate. It is an exciting medium that can be used to stimulate many types of learning important to
intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.
The centre promotes creative development and enhances the child's awareness of music. Individuals or small groups:
- Use musical instruments, records, and tapes;
- Create instruments; and
- Experiment with rhythm, tones, and sound (pots and pans, squeaking hinges, etc.).
