The science centre (area) provides opportunities for children to develop an awareness of the physical world and its order, variety, and beauty. Children are exposed to a variety of materials including animals, shells, plants, nests, beakers, rocks, seeds, magnets, metals, mirrors, and natural fibres. These materials serve to motivate them to:
- Observe;
- Discover;
- Experiment;
- Predict;
- Summarize; and
- Communicate.
