All methods of discipline are discussed at staff meetings to ensure that consistent, acceptable procedures are agreed upon and administered. Parents are encouraged to voice their suggestions and questions to the staff concerning methods of discipline to ensure consistency between the day care and home.
E.C.E. students need practice to learn "how to" assist young children to be responsible for their own behavior. Staff members encourage E.C.E. students to handle all situations on their own unless it is an emergency type situation, that is, physical harm or emotional damage may occur.
