On April 1 or upon enrolment, Early Learning Centre (ELC) parents will receive a schedule of fees for the three 4-month periods (Sept. - Dec.; Jan. - Apr; May - Aug.). Parents are required to submit four (4) post-dated cheques for each 4-month period to the ELC office. Amounts of the cheques are dependent upon each child's fee schedule.
On the last day of each month, cheques will be hand-delivered to the Durham College Accounting Department. Cheques returned to the Accounting Department as non-sufficient funds (NSF) will incur a $25.00 service charge. The Durham College Accounting Department is responsible for the collection of outstanding debts:
- Receipts will be issued to parents on a yearly basis (or upon withdrawal). Please keep receipts for income tax purposes;
- Parents will receive a new fee schedule one month in advance of the last post-dated cheque; and
- Parents have one month to submit the next series of post-dated cheques.
The Early Learning Centre reserves the right to terminate service to families if policies and procedures are not followed or fees are not paid on time.
Fee subsidy may be available, if required, from Durham Region Social Services Department (Day care Division). Further information can be obtained from the Centre's Manager.
