Children and Staff
The Centre is licensed by the Child Care branch of the Ministry of Community and Social Services and operates under the Day Nurseries Act and Regulations. Based on the requirements of these government agencies, the Oshawa Centre is licensed for the following:
- 15 toddlers (1½ to 2½ years)
- 16 Junior Preschool (2½ to 3½ years)
- 16 Senior Preschool (3½ to 5 years)
- 20 Preschool (3.8 to 5 years)
- 16 Nursery School (21/2 to 5 years)
The facility is staffed by professional, qualified, full-time E.C.E. teachers and qualified E.C.E. assistants. For information about the staff/child ratio, see

At full enrolment, the facility employs a manager and a cook. For information about the food provided, see

Specialized Services
We are pleased to accept children with special needs into this integrated program. These children will participate in the daily curriculum and individual programs. When required, they will receive the support of resource teachers to meet their individual needs.
