Our brand reflects our values and beliefs as an institution and projects them into everything we do. It is the face we present to the world and how we are perceived by our key audiences - potential and current students, parents, community and government partners, faculty, staff and more.
This Brand Standards Guide has been developed to assist all Durham College employees with maintaining the consistency and quality of our brand in all written and visual material they produce.
It is vital to creating a strong verbal and visual identity for consistent use by everyone when communicating to our audiences (e.g. students, community and business partners, donors and more) as it provides specific guidelines about the use of our brand and its application to a variety of items.
Anyone involved with the production of stationery, letterhead, brochures, posters, viewbooks, multimedia, course calendars, press releases, teaching materials, advertising and more is required to follow this guide.
It was created to define the core visual branding elements that make up our communications materials, speaks to the majority of our communications applications and lays the foundation for accurate content/design strategy and execution. We invite you to become acquainted with its content.
Any variation from these standards must be approved by Carol Beam, Brand Manager. For further information contact Beam at 905.721.2000 ext. 3216 or carol.beam@durhamcollege.ca.
