Defining the Durham College brand

Durham College has always been known for graduate success, high-quality programs and dedicated faculty and staff. In 2005 and 2006, the college researched the perception of its current brand through an intensive consultation process with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, board members, community and business partners, adult learners and alumni. The result of this process resulted in a new positioning statement and brand promise to describe the college and its commitment to students.

Durham College is the premier college in Canada for career-focused students who will succeed in a challenging, supportive and inclusive learning environment. Our programs are continually shaped by market needs and delivered by exceptional teachers with real-world experience. All of this combines to ensure our graduates have the market-ready skills to obtain great careers and make a difference in the world.

Brand promise

Our brand promise communicates the value we have promised to deliver to students. We want our audiences to understand this about us when they think of Durham College.
