The Durham College Board of Governors has adopted a new governance policy framework setting out guiding principles and strategic direction for the college, along with the outcomes expected of the president and administration. With the adoption of this new framework, there are now both board-specific and college-specific policies. As a result, the formal rescinding of existing policies is required by the Board of Governors to allow for the renewal and updating of college policies. All former policies remain in effect until this formal process takes place.
The Durham College Leadership Team will continue to renew college policies in compliance with the board's framework, as well as legislative and Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities'
requirements.
It has already approved and adopted a number of new policies. As this renewal process continues policies will be posted on the website.
This renewal process will be completed in June, 2008.
