In addition to KPI results, there are a number of other data sources that colleges use to get feedback on their performance. For example, the Ontario College Student Engagement Survey (OCSES) was first launched in 2006/07 as part of the Multi-Year Agreements for Colleges. This web-based survey is intended to help students be more successful in their studies, and help Ontario colleges improve the learning experience. All day students were invited to participate, regardless of year of study. Learners were surveyed in two stages, first in September and then again in November. Results will be announced when analysis is complete.
Other institution-specific tools may be developed to source data for program or service areas, including focus groups or customized surveys. Please contact the Office of Institutional Research and Government Relations for further information.
