Questions & Answers

Q. Why am I receiving a 'Can't find page' error when trying to access the reports from the internet link?
A. The reports are only available to users who are currently logged onto the University/College network. They are not accessible from outside of the network.

Q. How do I update my contact information?
A. To update your contact information, please use the 'Update Contact Info' link on the telephone directory page. This will open up a new message in Outlook with the appropriate addressing information. The process of sending a message through your Outlook account, and including your Banner ID, allows us to verify your identification.

Q. What will happen with the Access database that was previously used?
A. The Access database has been removed and the reports that were previously available in the Access database are now accessible via the new link at http://banner6.mycampus.ca/directoryreports.

Q. Can the directory reports be printed/e-mailed/saved?
A. The directory reports are now available in multiple formats. You can open the report in a PDF format (the default), which is excellent for printing or saving to a location of your choice (for example, your hard drive). To print or save PDF reports, you will need to use the Adobe toolbar (as opposed to your Internet Explorer standard toolbar). If you would like to e-mail a report, first save it to your preferred location using the Adobe toolbar, and then include it as an attachment within your message. Alternatively, you may wish to download the reports in a delimited format and then import them to Excel.

If you require assistance becoming familiar with the directory services please contact the IT Support Desk at ext. 3333 or ITSupport@dc-uoit.ca.
