The Insurance and Risk Management Department, within the Finance and Administration division, is responsible for all insurance issues. Some initiatives included are; claims handling process, co-op programs and placement, student trips, on-and off-campus events, construction and subrogation/recovery program.

Definitions:
Insurance - manages the external and self-insurance programs; develops innovative and cost-effective means of protection to suit the growing needs of the college and university community.
Risk Management - identify and assess the activities within the community in order to mitigate unanticipated and accidental losses to the college and university.
