At Durham College, the role of the program coordinator is primarily one of leadership and facilitation. The coordinator ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of academic programs by providing leadership to the program team, coordinating the tasks involved in program delivery and advising the dean with respect to planning and operational issues. To this end, it must be clear that the coordinator does not assume a supervisory role with other faculty or support staff, nor is it expected that they do all the work for the team but rather facilitate the sharing of total workload. Continuing Education
