Contract Employees Campus Colleague Rate: Contract employees of Durham College are entitled to enroll in Continuing Education courses at a reduced rate. To ensure that you receive this rate, you will be asked to show your teaching contract at the time of registration. This opportunity is valid during your contracted period. For those working in Continuing Education, your Program Officer will also email professional development opportunities to you as they are announced throughout the academic year. Daytime contract employees will receive information about P.D. opportunities through Outlook e-mail. You may also view the College's professional development listings on the P.D. Web site.

Full-Time Employees Campus Colleague Rate: Durham College recognizes the importance of its most valued resource - its staff. In order to provide and encourage personal and professional development of its employees and their families (known as campus colleagues), Durham offers a reduced rate for courses offered through Continuing Education for full-time and part-time staff:

  • Credit courses - no limit to the number a campus colleague can take per semester.
  • General Interest courses - only two allowed per semester.
  • Exceptions to the rule: Only one or two seats are held in any course for a campus colleague, so be sure to register early for a course. There are also courses in which no seats are available except at the published cost.
  • Please check the policy for information about reduced rates for immediate family members.

For complete policy information, please refer to the Policy Manual, Policy #204. The policy is also found on the P.D. Web site.
