Post-secondary Academic Policies and Procedures

The Post-secondary Academic Policies and Procedures are important documents which govern both staff and student activities while engaged in teaching and learning at Durham College. Included in these documents are guidelines for such things as marking and grading, appeals, academic honesty issues and other very useful information for both students and staff.

All staff should familiarize themselves with Durham College policies and procedures and utilize them when dealing with student issues. Students will find these documents helpful when applying for credits, registering for new courses or when academic guidance is needed.

These important documents are part of the Student Handbook and Durham College Web site.

The Post-secondary Academic Policies and Procedures are reviewed annually and approved by Academic Council. Suggestions for new policies or revisions to existing policies can be forwarded to the chair of Academic Council or the Vice-President Academic.
