Durham College offers approximately 100post-secondary programs in a wide range of disciplines including arts, business,design, media, information technology, health and community services, justice, skilled trades, applied sciences and technology. New programs such as Fitness and Health Promotion, Child and Youth Worker, Game Development and Water Quality Technician continue to widen the exciting career choices for students.
The college places a strong priority on academic quality and its 2007-2012 Success Matters Strategic Plan demonstrates that commitment through strategies and action plans designed to measure and ensure continuous quality improvement. Components of a strong program quality assurance process are in place to ensure that employers have access to a highly trained workforce. These components include anew framework for curriculum development and renewal, formalized program review and renewal, new program development and a program performance indicators dashboard.
Susan Barclay-Pereira, Director of Program Development, is responsible for facilitating program review and renewal for post-secondary programs as well as new program development procedures and approval processes.
