Bursaries

A Bursary is a non-repayable form of funding awarded to a student in financial need. We offer several different bursaries.

Entrance Bursary

(Durham College Access Bursary Program) - Available to all Ontario High School Students offered admission in to a full time, first year program at Durham College and is intended to assist students experiencing financial difficulty, preference will be given to students from Durham Region High Schools. Information is mailed to the students with their tuition invoices; application process is via My Campus. These bursaries are applied against their tuition fees for the academic year.

Bursary Program - Awarded throughout the school year, these bursaries are offered to current full-time students who have demonstrated financial need. A student profile which is the form used to determine financial need is posted on MyCampus. Students submit their completed profiles to Financial Aid + Awards office, SW116. When the profiles have been assessed the students are notified by e-mail. This is a substantial bursary funded by the dedication of a percentage of the recent tuition fee increase. For many students this is the last option they have to receive extra financial assistance for emergency situations or unforeseen sudden expenses and may make the difference of completing their term or year.

External Donor Bursary Program - Other bursaries are available throughout the year from external sources. Please visit MyCampus for current list of awards and applications.
