The accounting department is responsible for the recording, analyzing and reporting of financial transactions at DC/UOIT. Through development and maintenance of procedures and controls we ensure that these transactions are made in conformity with DC/UOIT principles and are in accordance with the generally accepted accounting principles and the accounting guidelines. We are stewards for DC/UOIT assets. We provide quality financial and administrative support services while minimizing costs and reducing administrative burden.
Accounting assists campus faculty and staff in meeting their teaching, research and operational needs by providing sound fiscal management to the campus community. Preparation and review of financial statements, management of the account/fund profile system, general ledger maintenance, inter-departmental and inter-campus transactions are completed in an efficient and effective manner. Analysis of financial data and interpretation of policy and procedure is routinely maintained.
