Harassment and Discrimination Policy

Health and Safety

Protection of employees from injury or occupational illness is a major progressive objective and Durham College will make every effort to provide a safe, healthy work environment.

Accident/Injury Report Forms are to be completed in the event of an accident or injury which involved a Durham College employee during working hours or while on campus.  These forms are available in two formats; electronic or paper copy.  The electronic form is available here.  Click on "Accident/Injury Form". After the form is completed, it is electronically distributed to the injured employee, their supervisor, the Health and Safety Officer and the JHSC.  Electronic reporting is preferred.

Where electronic reporting is not possible or practical, mulit-part paper forms are available in all campus First Aid boxes, through Human Resources, Security, and the Campus Health Centre.  Any accident or injury, regardless of severity, must be reported within 24 hours to your supervisors and to Human Resources.
