Role of the Board of Governors

Governance

The Board of Governors is the legal body governing Durham College of Applied Arts and Technology. Under Regulation 34/03 of the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002, the College Compensation and Appointments Council is responsible for the appointment of the external board members who sit as volunteer representatives from the local community. The Council also provides on-going guidance, support and oversight to both boards of governors and colleges as a whole.
