Health and Safety
Durham College's committment to a safe, healthy work environment is reflected in the Health and Safety Policy (#507, February 2006). The continual development and reinforcement of safe work practices, training, and cooperative resolutions focus on the control and elimination of hazards.
Collectively, our goal is to reduce or eliminate the risk of injury and maintain a safe workplace and place of study.
As the employer, the college is ultimately responsible for employee health and safety in the workplace. The committment to health and safety must form an integral part of all college business from staff to students to visitors.
