Adopting a healthier lifestyle and losing weight is now even easier for Durham College employees thanks to the Weight Watchers at Work program running on campus.
Dieting and eating well can be difficult enough, especially when trying to fit it into a busy work schedule. Thanks to the new Weight Watchers at Work program being offered by Durham College, adopting a healthier lifestyle is now easier than ever before.
The program, featuring all-new material, coaching, motivational meetings and confidential weekly weigh-ins, is running at the college for 16 weeks this summer. For $199 participants learn they can have what they want to eat and still lose weight.
Not sure how Weight Watchers works? Although various meal plans are offered, the best-known method is by counting points. A person's daily point target depends on their gender, age, weight, height and what they do throughout the day. By meeting a daily target of points, participants can choose whatever they want to eat because they control the amount of food they consume.
Members attend weekly meetings during lunch, where they learn how to make wise choices, eat healthy, enjoy food and exercise and receive valuable tips on maintaining a healthy diet.
They also receive support from a meeting leader who lost weight via Weight Watchers and is also a trained expert in the program who is committed to participants' success. Other benefits include exchanging recipes and tips and gaining the practical experience of others.
The Summer 2008 Weight Watchers @ Work Group will start Thursday, May 15th. An information session will be held on May 8 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in Room 1240, Simcoe Building. Click here to download a copy of the Registration Form. Please bring the form to the first session or e-mail to Catherine Hunter prior to May 13th.
