Overview:
Participants in the Durham College Centre for Business Studies gain real experience from our faculty, who are focused on providing students with hands-on learning opportunities, geared towards outcomes that provide them with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to compete in the growing global demands on the workforce of the Americas.
As more multinational influence comes to bear on the Panamanian economy, it is essential that the workforce is trained to deal with international standards and operational practices associated with the fields of human resources, accounting, marketing and entrepreneurship.
The Durham College suite of programs in this area of study will provide participants with the real-world knowledge required to truly compete globally. Overview:
As emerging markets, such as Panama continue to embrace global opportunities, foreign investment, and an influx of foreign individuals, the mastery of languages, such as English, will be essential for ongoing career success and stable growth of the country. Durham College has established the Centre for Language Studies with these purposes in mind.
Our faculty have both a masterful grasp of English and Spanish, as well as a key understanding of local cultural matters that makes learning a foreign language that much easier. Coupled with this approach is our unique courses, aimed at both Executives, with hectic schedules, and the need for a higher degree of one-on-one learning with their Language Coach, and our more broad based programs aimed at individuals requiring a better knowledge of the English language to succeed in their area of work.

Overview:
Durham College Panama is proud to bring a Canadian course in Food and Pharmaceutical Processes to the region. This 1 year intensive program is geared toward those with a science-based undergraduate degree and who are seeking additional hands-on learning opportunities to further prepare them for work in this demanding field.
The Pharmaceutical and Food Science Technology program provides the essential skills, laboratory training, and experience in biology, microbiology and chemistry for students to pursue a career in science. Analysis of food, isolating and identification of micro-organisms, screening for the purity and chemical composition of pharmaceutical products are just a few of the skills acquired. Students are also taught the processes used in a food or pharmaceutical company to produce and safely test high-quality products for consumer acceptance.
In the fully equipped microbiology,chemical analysis, and processing facilities on campus, students gain hands-on experience in the methods and instrumentation used in the industry.
