What happens if I change programs or status? (full-time/part-time)
Present your current ID card and your new timetable to the staff in either of the ID offices for a free replacement.
What is the advantage of depositing money onto the Smart Card chip?
You will be able to photo copy without carrying a pocket full of dimes.
If I lose my card, do I lose the balance on the Smart Chip for the photo copy meters?
Yes, that is why it is recommended to limit your deposit to $5.00 at a time.
If my card needs to be reprinted, will the balance on the Smart Chip be transferred to the new card?
Yes, as long as the chip can be read. The full card must be intact in order to do this.
What are Smart/Proximity Access Cards?
They are campus identification cards and controlled access cards all in one. Arrangements required for this type of card must be made by an authorized College or University staff member.
How should I take care of my card?
Treat your Campus Identification Card like a credit or debit card. Store it safely in your wallet. Do not punch holes in it, or bend it. Bent or warped cards may jam in the Cash Manager Machines or photo copy meters.
In addition, do not apply stickers anywhere on your card. The magnetic stripe on your card must be kept clean to access, cash registers and swipe access readers.
The heat of a clothing dryer will also damage your card. You are responsible for the replacement charge of damaged, worn out cards, or lost or stolen cards.
