Get involved

Research indicates that students involved in on-campus activities are more positive about their post-secondary experience. George Kuh et al (1991) state that these active students:

  • are more positively influenced with regard to social integration and institutional commitment;
  • are more content with their social life and living environment;
  • are more satisfied with their academic program; and
  • have higher self-esteem than students who are not involved.

Durham College offers many opportunities for students to get involved with activities that appeal to a wide range of personal interests, talents and lifestyles.

The Student Life calendar and the Student Association calendar provide students with up-to-date activities happening on campus.
