Convocation ceremony

Convocation

The Durham College Spring 2008 Convocation Ceremonies will take place on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the General Motors Centre in downtown Oshawa.

Thank you to students who have completed their Application to Graduate via MyCampus. The Office of the Registrar will conduct a graduation audit when final marks are available. If you have not done so yet and feel you are eligible for graduation, please apply to graduate. Unfortunately, you will be not able to participate in the graduation exercises if you have not applied - so please avoid this disappointment!

Continuing Education students will continue to use the paper Application to Graduate, available on MyCampus.

Advanced Level Apprentices who will complete their program prior to May 16, 2008 will be mailed an invitation to our June 2008 convocation.  Should apprentices require further information, please contact the Office of the Registrar in room 103 of the Whitby Campus.

There are three ceremonies during the day to accommodate the large number of graduates (9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.)  Please refer to the Order of Ceremonies to see what time your program will graduate.

Graduates are asked to arrive at the General Motors Centre one hour prior to their ceremony time in order to be gowned and lined up for the ceremony procession.  The viewing area will be open for guests one hour prior to each ceremony.

Graduates are welcome to invite family and friends to attend.  Tickets are not required for entrance to the ceremony.

Congratulations to all our upcoming graduates!
