The primary goal of the award-winning Campus Library, located at the north end of campus, is to provide you with quality information services that assist you with researching and preparing essay papers. The library offers both wired and wireless environments with comfortable study spaces and a reading room, complete with a fireplace.

Resources are provided in both paper and electronic format and you can search for materials at www.durhamcollege.ca/library. Through the catalogue, you can find audiovisuals (housed in Media Services), books and reserves. You can also borrow books and reserve items at the circulation desk by presenting your campus identification card. Campus Library privileges must be renewed each year via the renewal of your campus identification card.|

Electronic resources, including e-books, electronic periodicals (e.g. journals, magazines and newspapers) and recommended websites are also made available through the Campus Library's website and can be accessed both on and off campus by logging in using a valid campus ID number and password.

For a list of recommended library resources by discipline click on Subject Guides under the Search Collections tab. Other services such as group study rooms, interlibrary loans, photocopying, printing and reciprocal borrowing are also outlined on the library's website.

The librarians will gladly assist you with your research needs and work closely with professors to present classes that are linked to assignments. You can sign up for classes on various topics throughout the year and online tutorials are available on the website.

Contact reference staff by phone and e-mail or visit the reference desk in person. Academic year, holiday and summer hours are posted on the Campus Library's front doors and website.

If you are a student at the Whitby campus, you can access a wide range of resources at www.durhamcollege.ca/library. Use the catalogue to find audiovisuals (housed in Media Services) and books.

You will also find an extensive collection of online materials including e-books, e-journals, e-magazines and e-newspapers. Most require you to enter your campus ID number and password. The interlibrary loan service delivers items between the Oshawa and Whitby campuses. To initiate the borrowing process, you must register with the helpdesk in Student Services by presenting your campus identification card.

If you are a student at the Uxbridge campus, please contact the librarians at the Oshawa campus for more information on library support.
