All concerns regarding personal safety should be directed to Campus Security at 905.721.2000 ext. 2400. The Campus Security office is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Concerns and suggestions regarding the improvement of campus safety should be directed to the Facilities Management department at 905.721.3030.
During the fall and winter semesters, pairs of trained students are available to accompany you to and from all locations on campus. Requests to be met at a specific location on the Oshawa campus can be made by phoning Campus Security at 905.721.2000 ext. 2400 or the campus residences at 905.728.8700. You may also make a request in person at one of the command posts. Please have your campus identification card ready. Security officers also complement this service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Campus Walk program is a part-time employment opportunity for eligible students through the Ontario Work Study Program. It is also supported by the Women's Campus Safety Grant from the Ministry of Education.
CERT is a team of students trained by St. John Ambulance to respond to medical emergency situations on campus. They are considered another group of first responders and are not a replacement for Campus Security or EMS response to medical emergencies.
In the event of a medical emergency on campus, students, staff and faculty are advised to contact Campus Security at 905.721.2000 ext. 2400 and they will dispatch the CERT.
On-site security officers, qualified in first-aid and CPR, are present 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patrols of all buildings are conducted throughout the day and evening. Parking lots, walkways and other campus areas are also patrolled and monitored, in addition to random security supervisor patrols.
