Off-campus

The Durham College Financial Aid and Awards office, in partnership with Places4Students.com, can help you find a home away from home. The online housing registry works on a self-serve basis and features a great selection of affordable and comfortable accommodations often within walking distance of the school.

Please visit their website for accommodation listings.

If you are planning to live off-campus, please be aware that the City of Oshawa introduced a new bylaw in 2008 that requires the licensing of residential homes that are used for rental purposes.

As a renter you should be aware of the bylaw, what it means to you and your responsibilities. The City of Oshawa offers an information document that provides details about the bylaw and answers to frequently asked questions.

For more specific information about the bylaw, including a map of the affected streets, please visit www.oshawa.ca/mun_res/residentialrentalunits.asp.

Durham College is currently working to establish an Off-Campus Housing office to further meet the needs of our students, along with our neighbours in the communities surrounding campus.
