At Durham College the student experience comes first. The Student Life office works with students to promote student activities and enhance student engagement and satisfaction. Emphasis is given to building a learning community that is increasingly supportive of student success in all its facets - intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically.
The Student Life office coordinates orientation programming and the Ask me, I'm Orange campaign to assist students with the transition to post-secondary education and help them adjust to their new environment. Durham College also offers first year students an opportunity to be matched with a staff person to further support their transition to postsecondary education through the Staff to Student Mentoring program.
Students are encouraged to get involved! Participation in campus activities promotes intellectual growth and the development and integrity of the whole person. The Student Life office is proud to introduce a unique and cutting-edge Co-curricular Recognition Program to recognize the dedication, creativity and leadership abilities students demonstrate on campus.
