The Off-Campus Work Permit for International Student's studying in Canada has been approved. For detailed information and an application form visit CIC Canada. Some key points to the program are listed below:

To be eligible for an Off-Campus Work Permit you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Possess a valid study permit
  • Have studied full-time in a post-secondary program for at least six out of the 12 months of the year preceding your application to work off-campus. (For example if you began classes in September you will be eligible to apply in March.)
  • Are in good academic standing

You are not eligible to apply for an Off-Campus Work Permit if you:

  • Have previously held an off-campus work permit, failed to maintain your eligibility for the program and failed to comply with the conditions of your work or study permit
  • Are currently enrolled in the EAP program.

You will need to submit a Verification Form with your application package. The Verification form needs to be authorized by Sarah Edwards. Please bring in your filled out Verification Form as well as the Request for Verification Form to the International Office at UA2043.
