Sign the "Confirmation of Acceptance" form you received in your Letter of Acceptance package and mail the form to Durham College in the white pre-addressed envelope provided.
This confirmation form must be sent with a non-refundable $540 CDN deposit to hold your seat (place) in the program.
You received an invoice in your Letter of Acceptance package.
The fees stated on this invoice must be paid in full one month prior to your start date (ex. If you begin classes in September your fees are due August 1. If you begin classes in January your fees are due December 1).
Payment options are cheque, credit card, web/phone/ATM banking, wire transfer, cash, debit card, company or sponsored billing. You must pay the total amount on your invoice in order to register for your course.
You must book a room approximately 3 months before the start of school or the room availability will be low due to the increase of applications for the new semester. To book a room at the Durham College Residence, apply online at http://residence.theplace2be.ca/ or by telephone at (905)728-8700. There is a $250 non-refundable fee due with the application.

Whether moving into residence or homestay you must make at least a 4-month commitment to live there.
If you would like someone to pick you up from Toronto Pearson International Airport, please let us know. The cost for airport pickup is $100.00. Please allow 2 weeks to arrange pickup.
You must book the airport pickup with Sarah Edwards in the International Office by E-mail at sarah.edwards@durhamcollege.ca, or by telephone at (905)721-3111 Ext 2355, or fax (905)721-3372.
You will need to provide us with your flight number, Air Carrier you will be flying with and the date and time of your arrival when you book your pickup.
Please note that you are only able to bring a maximum of 2 large pieces of luggage with you when using our Airport Pickup service.
During your first week in Oshawa you should expect to spend approximately $200 for supplies that you will need (food, sheets, shampoo etc). You may also want to purchase items such as an electric toaster, electric wok or frying pan, electric kettle, hair dryer, can opener, and pots for cooking.
Within 2 days of your arrival in Oshawa you should go to the International Education Office in Room UA2043 to register. Please bring your passport and study permit with you. Our office hours are 9:00a.m - 4:00p.m.
You do not need to visit the International Office on your first day in Canada. Get some rest first.
If you are taking EAP you will need to take an English Test. This test will be on the first day of classes. You will need to go to UA2043 at 9:00a.m on the day of testing.
Orientation is very important to ensure you have a comfortable transition with your stay in Canada. By participating in orientation you will meet students from all over the world who are also studying at Durham College. You will also get a tour of the college, have the opportunity to have your student ID picture taken as well as learn many things about what is expected of you during your stay in Canada.
