Oshawa, Ont. - Durham College students showed their support for Denise House by holding a fundraising concert at the college on November 24.
Raise Your Fist to Assist gathered over $1,000 for the Oshawa based organization.
The event was organized by Entertainment and Administration students.
Denise House began in the 1980s as needs were identified in the Durham Region for specialized services and housing for abused women and their children. Currently, the shelter accommodates 27 women and children and offers safety and resources for the families in residence.
