Oshawa, Ontario - Adults who are out of work or looking for a great job are invited to attend an information session on skilled trades programs and careers on May 16.
The session runs from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Durham College resource centre at the Oshawa office of Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC), 78 Richmond Street West. The event is jointly sponsored by Durham College and HRDC.
Through its Skills Training Centre in Whitby, Durham College offers training for a range of skilled trades careers including automotive technician, electrician, HVAC technician, machinist, millwright, power engineer and welder. Classes begin in late August, and financial assistance may be available through HRDC.
