The never-ending wedding checklist for brides and grooms-to-be can be overwhelming.
Now Durham College is offering a one-day seminar, Everything But The Groom, to make your wedding dreams come true and within budget.
A wedding is like planning a big party, and there's a lot to do. But trying to put together a perfect wedding day, without making costly mistakes, can be nerve-racking.
The many hassles include: consulting with sources for each bridal service, getting the best deal, finalizing details and worrying if it will all come together on your special day without a hitch.
Shari Beck, a wedding co-ordinator from Ajax, will help participants with each phase of the planning process, including: budgeting, cakes, caterers, ceremony, decorations, etiquette, flowers, gifts, hotels, limousines, locations, music, photography, reception, rentals, tuxedos, video, and the honeymoon.
"Each stage of the planning will be broken down to include things such as how to choose a wedding gown that flatters your figure and how to handle divorced parents," said Beck. At the seminar, brides and grooms are encouraged to participate in question and answer periods throughout the day.
The cost of the seminar is $63.60. For information or to register, call Ann-Marie Stevenson at 905-721-3111, extension 2312.
