Durham College celebrates the graduating class of 2000

Durham College celebrates the dedication, determination and success of its 1,500 graduates at the annual convocation ceremonies on Friday, June 16.

Diplomas and certificates will be presented during three ceremonies at the Oshawa Civic Auditorium, 99 Thornton Road South, Oshawa.

Evelyn Smith, director of programs for the Victorian Order of Nurses - Durham Region Branch, and a governor of Durham College & University Centre, will address the Design & Communications Arts and Health & Human Studies grads at the 10 a.m. ceremony.

Beth Wilson, a chartered accountant who is manager at the national office of KPMG, a management consulting accounting firm, and a governor of Durham College & University Centre, will speak to Arts & Administration, Business & Skills Development and University Centre graduates at the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Bob Morine, vice-president and general manager, public sector, IBM Canada Ltd., and a governor of Durham College & University Centre, will address grads from Business and Technology during the 6 p.m. celebration.
