The Career Shop Presents Career Focus 2000

Students, parents, job seekers and career advisors are invited to the Career Focus 2000, hosted by The Career Shop at Durham College on Saturday, November 25.

College staff members Margaret Greenley, Director, Career & Students Services, and Ambrose Samulski, Dean, School of Technology, will speak about the postsecondary options available, seamless postsecondary education, and how to make better career decisions. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to view exhibits, talk with career planning specialists and resource providers, as well as learn about new career and educational support, products, and services.

Throughout the day, participants can attend workshops on classroom career tools and resources, career coaching our kids, career events, taking school to work, assessing postsecondary institutions, the Internet and career planning - riding the wave, financing education, hot careers and alternative opportunities for life after high school.

The conference fee is $110 for adults and $35 for students. Anyone who registers by Friday, November 3 will receive an early bird registration discount.
