Several of the Durham University Centre students studying business through York University are in a position to offer their marketing expertise to any interested businesses and organizations in the Durham Region.
Students, enrolled in a marketing course can provide marketing advice and expertise in areas such as: conducting an assessment of a company's current marketing operation, designing and conducting research studies of consumer satisfaction, and assisting companies develop and implement marketing plans. The benefits can range from assistance in setting long-term goals, suggestions of where to allocate advertising dollars, and assistance in the development of plans to improve competitive position and increase sales.
Businesses and organizations can provide the students with an opportunity to develop a marketing plan for real world businesses by applying marketing concepts to real life marketing problems. At the same time, the students will produce this essential component for a working business worth thousands of dollars at little or no cost.
