Durham College Whitby Skills Training Centre located at 1610 Champlain Avenue, right off the highway 401 in Whitby, is hosting an Openhouse on Thursday, February 19 from noon to 9:00 pm and Saturday, February 21 from 9:00 am till noon.
There will be something for everyone, with tours of the facilities, demonstrations and information packages on course options offered at the Training Centre. Faculty and students will be available to answer questions and discuss the interactive exhibits.
Some of the featured areas will include: Academic Upgrading, Apprenticeship Programs, Business and Industry Development Services, Career Shop, College Preparatory programs, Continuous Learning, Durham Management Centre with Multimedia Self-directed learning Lab, Fire and Emergency Services, Post-secondary programs, Skilled Trades programs and Youth Internship Apprenticeship programs (YIAP). Sponsorship may be available for some of the programs offered. As well, there will be an opportunity to learn about the Durham University Centre programs.

This is a terrific opportunity to come and learn about the different programs offered at the Skills Training Centre in Whitby, to experience college life and to meet our students and faculty."
