OSHAWA, Ont. - To keep up with the growing demand for increased recreational and cultural venues in Canada's latest boomtown, the City of Oshawa, Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) partnered to establish a new, NHL-sized twin pad arena.
Join Durham College and UOIT President Dr. Gary Polonsky and City of Oshawa Mayor John Gray for the grand opening of the Campus Ice Centre including an on-ice ribbon cutting ceremony.
As the new home of the Oshawa Skating Club, the opening will feature an ice show. The first 100 children under age 18 can register to participate in a Scholarship Shootout for the chance to win a scholarship to Durham College or UOIT.
